Size the box to the cake
Cake boxes should clear the cake by about an inch on each side and give enough height for the top decoration without touching the lid. Tiered cakes usually travel as separate boxed tiers, assembled on site. Match the box height to the tallest tier plus its topper.

Plan the supporting boxes
An event is more than the main cake. Cake-slice boxes send dessert home with guests. Favor boxes hold cookies, macarons, or a single cupcake. A window box makes a pretty take-home gift. Order these alongside the cake boxes so the whole table matches.

For weddings and events, keep the print elegant and specific. A monogram, the couple’s names, an event date, or a foil-stamped crest all work. Production runs two to three weeks from mockup approval, plus shipping. For a dated event, start five to six weeks out so there is room for a revision and a safe delivery window. Rush options exist for tighter timelines.
